Warranty Cancellation FAQ 

                    Do I need to fill out the forms completely?

a.       Yes.  For us to process your request in a timely fashion we will need all forms and documents submitted in their completed form.

Can I attach the forms required online?

a.       Yes.  Please, feel free to email the forms directly to our administrator at rclemons@courtesyautogrp.com

 What documents will I need to submit in addition to the GAP/Extended Warranty Cancellation Request Form?

a.       The following documents will be needed to process your request efficiently:

                                                              i.      Total Loss = Proof from insurance adjuster of total loss, include VIN, model, and mileage.

                                                             ii.      Paid In Full = Letter from Lienholder stating the vehicle is paid off including VIN, model, and mileage.

                                                            iii.      Trade = Odometer statement, A signed "Buyers' Order" from the dealership.

                                                            iv.      Open Loan = Proof of Lienholder Address.  Also, we will need VIN, model, and account number.

                                                             v.      Down Payment = Stock# of New Vehicle and the amount of money that was paid down.

                                                            vi.   Refinance = Proof of payoff from prior lienholder / letter with VIN from new lienholder.                

                   How long does the process take?

a.       It depends.  If we have every completed form and document submitted, the process can take up to 4 weeks.

Why does it take so long to process?

a.       The process has to go through various extended warranty companies, which take several business days to return the information needed, then must go through different departments to verify information is accurate.  Once the verification process has been completed, a check will be submitted to management for the required signatures.

                   Can Courtesy CDJR send Gap proof that all my other warranties have been cancelled, so Gap will pay for my total loss?

                 a.      Courtesy CDJR can ONLY send the lienholder the cancellation check to put against the outstanding balance owed on the vehicle. Once the lienholder applies the check to the outstanding balance of the loan, It then that the lienholder will contact GAP to see what portion of the vehicle will be paid off.
